Considering a move from a metropolitan area to the North Georgia Mountains was a little scary at first. Having two children, I kept wondering, "What will they do!" I didn't want them to miss out on opportunities!" Having lived in the mountains now for over 9 years, I am so glad I took the plunge! Not only do we have countless sports activities offered throug the Parks and Recreation Department in Dawson and Pickens County and in the community of Big Canoe, but the natural environment encourages children to enjoy hiking, mountain biking, exploring, camping and just plain outdoor fun.
